This compilation of .gifs are taken from various streams. Some were extracted from more popular streamers, and others were taken from lesser-known streamers of both genders. Through this process, I went through the selected .gifs and sorted them out through gestures, movements, and expressions of similar natures. This way, I wanted to stay away from differentiating the women from the men; this kind of separation is already apparent in the gaming community on Twitch. Instead, I wanted to observe and analyze the similarities, the recurring patterns of what makes up a STREAMER, while disregarding gender.

For instance, there are surprised expressions in both genders, and both genders are also seen to be standing up on camera. Though there are undeniable differences in how they present themselves, women and men on Twitch seem to coincide in actions on camera in some aspects. I wanted to highlight those similarities. Though there are definitely more men in the first half of the gallery, it progressively moves into mixing the genders up (such as the end, where there are multiple people eating on stream). No one can argue that men have a certain way of acting on camera that is similar to other men, and that the same thing applies to women during their streams, but I wanted to bring to light the eccentric, insane, special nature of people's behaviors on Twitch. In doing so, the discussion shifted to a more human-based analysis of Twitch streamers, instead of bringing inferiority or domination through gender into the conversation. This is an exploration of how the internet creates and shifts people's behaviors, especially when there's a virtual crowd on the other side of the virtual world.
